This fabulous rice pudding recipe is super easy and delicious. Just add the ingredients to the slow-cooker, allow the rice pudding to slowly cook, stirring occasionally, and it's done. This is a very easy and yummy rice pudding dessert, definitely worth trying.
Easy Slow-Cooker Rice Pudding
Ingredients:
◦ ¼ cup of butter
◦ 1 cup long grain white rice
◦ 1 cup granulated sugar
◦ ⅓ cup brown sugar
◦ 6 cups of whole milk
◦ 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
◦ ½ teaspoon salt
◦ 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, optional
Method:
Place the butter in the bottom of a 4 quart slow-cooker.
Once melted, add rice and stir to coat well.
Add milk, sugar, salt, and brown sugar, stir well to combine.
Place the lid on the slow-cooker, and cook on low for 2 to 4 hours depending on the type of rice. Stir occasionally.
When the rice pudding is done the rice will be tender and the pudding will be thick and creamy.
Turn off the slow-cooker and add the vanilla extract, stir well to combine.
Place the lid back on the rice cooker and allow the rice pudding to rest in the slow-cooker for 15 minutes before serving.
I just made this and the 6 cups of milk was perfect. I thought it had to be too much but it worked great. This is the best and easiest recipe. I put everything in my slow cooker and only stirred it one time each half hour and after two hours it was done. It turned out like the rice pudding I have to stir on top of the stove, but this recipe is really hands off! Thank you. This is my new go recipe. BTW, Mine looks exactly like the picture.
